The Water Department will be developing an Implementation Plan based on the Final Report and public comments. They will present the Implementation Plan at a public meeting in Fall 2011.

Overview

Fresh Pond Reservation is an important open space for Cambridge residents and visitors providing drinking water, recreational opportunities such as walking, bike riding, bird watching and walking dogs off leash, and a natural setting in the midst of the city. Because of these many opportunities, use has increased in recent years which has also led to increased conflict among users. 

The City is currently running a public engagement process to work with users to develop recommendations for improving their experience at the Reservation. The process is being managed by a facilitation team at the Consensus Building Institute (CBI). All are welcome to attend this series of public workshops and to collaborate in developing recommendations for the City. All project materials are posted on this site.
