A Cross-Partisan Plan to Support Families

CBI is proud to have facilitated the work of the Convergence Collaborative on Supports for Working Families. The group's Blueprint report was launched on February 7th at a U.S. Senate event co-hosted by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA). The remarkably diverse group of 31 policy experts and practitioners in child and family services agreed on a set of principles for supporting working families; a new narrative about the challenges facing those families; and policy directions for paid leave, childcare, and child allowances.

CBI Senior Mediators Ona Ferguson and David Fairman (who’s pictured in the panel here, on the left) facilitated the group’s work over the past year. You can find the Blueprint that’s resulted from this process here.
